We at Certus are thrilled to have you as a client for the current tax season. To ensure we get started smoothly, please take a moment to complete the following steps:

Step 1: Accept the Invitation

You should have received an email with the subject, "It's Tax Time! Please Login to Access Your Tax Organizer"

Please click the “Accept” button at the bottom of that email and then login to add the current tax organizer to your dashboard.

If you file several returns with us, you will have a separate invitation for each entity. ‘Accept’ each one and login with the same credentials each time.

Step 2: Sign Your Engagement Letter

One of the first items you'll see is your engagement letter.

Signing the engagement letter lets us know you intend to have Certus prepare your tax return for the current tax year.

(Please Note: We will only file extensions for clients that have signed their engagement letter.) If you have multiple entities, please sign the engagement letter for each entity.

Step 3: Complete the Questionnaire

Please answer all the questions in the organizer, even if you think the answer hasn't changed from last year. Your responses help us prepare an accurate and complete return.

Step 4: Upload Your Documents

Upload all requested tax documents directly to Intuit Link.

Please do not email tax documents. Keeping everything in one secure location helps protect your information and ensures nothing is overlooked.

Step 5: Finalize your submission

Once you've answered the questions and uploaded everything, click the "I Think I'm Done" button. (If you don’t see it, click back into the Document Checklist. It should appear at the bottom.)

***This automatically notifies your tax professional that your organizer is ready for review. Please allow up to two weeks for our tax team to get to work.

We will reach out to you when we are ready to review the return with you. If you have any urgent need, or it has been over two weeks since submission, please call our office (385-557-7700) for a status update.
