Jennifer Card, who earned her Degree in Finance from BYU in 1995, began her career working on bookkeeping, tax, and payroll for clients. Seeking to expand her knowledge, she went on to earn her Accounting Degree and became an Enrolled Agent in 2007. In July 2018, she and a partner formed Certus accounting.

Following the departure of her partner, Jennifer sold the firm to Lee Bowen in 2021 so she could focus more on her clients and less on managing a growing business. Jennifer remains on staff and provides tax preparation and advisory services to clients while leading the Certus tax team. Since 2021, the business has doubled in size under Lee's management.
